Most start-up companies don’t have the luxury to make any mistakes in the early stages of their growth. Same goes for choosing your first design & testing programs to help get your products off to manufacturing with high levels of confidence.
PIA-K Enterprises, a packaging equipment startup company based in Pennsylvania, purchased SolidWorks and Simulation right from the get-go to design and test their “blister pack” machines.
“Without SolidWorks and Simulation we would have never been able to get five different products done in such a short period of time,” stated the President of PIA-K. "The ability to virtually test our designs has allowed us to limit both the time it takes to build prototypes and number of prototypes needed." See the story behind PIA-K, a successful start up and how they got going with SolidWorks and upfront Simulation right from inception.

We are talking mouse traps in this episode of eTV! See how the Bresslergroup was able to redesign a better “Quick set” mouse trap to help their client bring manufacturing back to the United States and redesign a better mouse trap.
Through the use of SolidWorks, Simulation and our Sustainable Design product, the Bresslergroup was able to quickly design, virtually test, compare sustainable materials and create multiple configurations in the same day. This was not the case with the older 2D and 3D products they used prior to owning SolidWorks.
It just goes to show that with the right solutions many benefits can come from different areas within your company. The Bresslergroup had a big impact on sales, product quality, sustainable footprint and also provided jobs for workers in America.
