Not sure which Solidworks Simulation training you need, check out the course descriptions below to find what class is right for you.

  • SolidWorks Simulation - January 20 and 21
This course is designed to make SolidWorks users productive more quickly with the SolidWorks Simulation Bundle. This course will provide an in-depth coverage on the basics of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), covering the entire analysis process from meshing (solids, shells, mixed and beams) to evaluation of results for parts and assemblies. The class discusses linear stress analysis, gap/contact analysis, and best practices. This course will also provide an in-depth coverage on the advanced topics in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including heat transfer analysis, frequency analysis, stability analyisis based on the linear buckling concepts. Example of parts and assemblies including those with various gap.contact conditions are reviewed.

  • SolidWorks Simulation Professional - January 22
This course is designed to make SolidWorks Simulation users productive with the SolidWorks Simulation Professional extension. This 1 day course will provide an in-depth coverage on the advanced topics in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including heat transfer analysis, frequency analysis, fatigue, stability analyisis based on the linear buckling concepts, and pressure vessel modulus. Example or parts and assemblies including those with various gap.contact conditions are reviewed. (1 day). This course is usually bundled with the 2 day Simlation course.

Prerequisites: Students must have attended the introductory SolidWorks Simulation course (2 days) or must have working knowledge of the SolidWorks Simulation software. Knowledge of SolidWorks and basic mechanical engineering concepts is recommended.
Who should attend: All SolidWorks Simulation users wishing to create better designs in SolidWorks by performing analysis and evaluating the behavior of their parts and assemblies under actual service conditions.

  • SolidWorks Simulation: Non-linear - January 26 and 27
  • This class will raise your SolidWorks Simulation FEA skills to the next level! It offers hands-on experience on the use of Solid Works Simulation Premium nonlinear module. The 2-day course provides an overview on a wide range of nonlinear structural mechanical analysis topics. You will learn how to deal with models that exhibit large displacements and/or yielding, discuss and practice the use of many material models available in SolidWorks Simulation and, most importantly, how to drive a non-linear analysis to successful completion. (2 days)

Prerequisites: Must have attended the basic SolidWorks Simulation class, or must have an experience with working basic knowledge of finite elements and of basic mechanical principles.
Who should attend:Designed for users who would like to become productive fast, the nonlinear course offers hands-on experience on the use of SolidWorks Simulation nonlinear module. The two-day course provides an overview on a wide range of nonlinear structural/mechanical analysis topics.

  • SolidWorks Simulation: Dynamic - January 28
This course is targeted for the users who would like to become productive in analyzing structures subjected to various types of dynamic loading. The material covered includes the time dependent analysis(force loads as well as motion shock loading examples), harmonic analysis and random vibration analysis (MILS-STD-810F example is included).

Prerequisites: Must have attended the basic SolidWorks Simulation class, or must have an experience with working basic knowledge of finite elements and of basic mechanical principles. The knowledge of basic principles in Vibrations is strongly recommended, but not required.
    Who should attend:
Designed or users who would like to become productive fast, the advanced course offers hands-on experience on the use of SolidWorks Simulation Dynamics modules. The one-day course provides an overview on a wide range of dynamic analysis topics.
