SolidWorks Sales, Support and Training serving New England and New York for 18 years
In an effort to provide flexibility to the New England SolidWorks community, Unitec will be offering evening SolidWorks classes at our Middletown, CT headquarters. To request more info on currently available evening classes please call or fill out the request form by selecting the link below.
In an effort to enhance the learning experience for our clients, Unitec has decided to incorporate the SolidProfessor Basic bundle into SolidWorks Essentials training. Students attending SolidWorks Essentials at Unitec will now receive SolidProfessor Basic to continue the learning process or as a refresher to critical design questions. SolidWorks basic includes almost 10 hours of lessons on the fundamentals of creating Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings.
Receive a 30 minute Free Trial of Solid Professor with unlimited access
SolidWorks Essentials training is scheduled for Junel 14, 15, 21 and 22. Please call 800.365.9595 to register.
SolidWorks 2010 service pack is now available to Subscription Service customers. To download log into the SolidWorks Customer Portal
Unitec is a SolidWorks Authorized Training and Support Center offering a wide variety of core and industry specific SolidWorks Training Courses. Custom classes also available at our facility or yours.
The Top Down lesson introduces the concept and practice of In Context modeling, from a single feature to the entire part. The power of Smart Mates, Mate References, Feature Palette, Configurations and Design Tables within the assembly will also be explored. This lesson introduces the concepts of:
This lesson will show how sheet metal parts can be created and used. Models created from scratch using a Base Flange, Edge Flange, Miter Flange and Tabs will be explored as well as importing geometry from IGES and converting it to a SolidWorks sheet metal part using Insert Bends and Rips.
The creation of in-context sheet metal parts will be demonstrated. A sheet metal enclosure will be created using an existing hard disk drive assembly.
This course is designed to make SolidWorks users productive more quickly with the SolidWorks Simulation Bundle. This course will provide an in-depth coverage on the basics of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), covering the entire analysis process from meshing (solids, shells, mixed and beams) to evaluation of results for parts and assemblies. The class discusses linear stress analysis, gap/contact analysis, and best practices. This course will also provide an in-depth coverage on the advanced topics in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including heat transfer analysis, frequency analysis, stability analyisis based on the linear buckling concepts. Example of parts and assemblies including those with various gap.contact conditions are reviewed.
Students will have an opportunity to work on their own Simulation during the Analysis Workshop portion of the class. This lesson introduces the concepts of:
This course is designed to make SolidWorks Simulation users productive with the SolidWorks Simulation Professional extension. This 1 day course will provide an in-depth coverage on the advanced topics in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including heat transfer analysis, frequency analysis, fatigue, stability analyisis based on the linear buckling concepts, and pressure vessel modulus. Example or parts and assemblies including those with various gap.contact conditions are reviewed. (1 day). This course is usually bundled with the 2 day Simlation course.
Students must have attended the introductory SolidWorks Simulation course (2 days) or must have working knowledge of the SolidWorks Simulation software. Knowledge of SolidWorks and basic mechanical engineering concepts is recommended.
All SolidWorks Simulation users wishing to create better designs in SolidWorks by performing analysis and evaluating the behavior of their parts and assemblies under actual service conditions.
This class will raise your SolidWorks Simulation FEA skills to the next level! It offers hands-on experience on the use of Solid Works Simulation Premium nonlinear module. The 2-day course provides an overview on a wide range of nonlinear structural mechanical analysis topics. You will learn how to deal with models that exhibit large displacements and/or yielding, discuss and practice the use of many material models available in SolidWorks Simulation and, most importantly, how to drive a non-linear analysis to successful completion. (2 days).
Must have attended the basic SolidWorks Simulation class, or must have an experience with working basic knowledge of finite elements and of basic mechanical principles.
Designed for users who would like to become productive fast, the nonlinear course offers hands-on experience on the use of SolidWorks Simulation nonlinear module. The two-day course provides an overview on a wide range of nonlinear structural/mechanical analysis topics.
This course is targeted for the users who would like to become productive in analyzing structures subjected to various types of dynamic loading. The material covered includes the time dependent analysis(force loads as well as motion shock loading examples), harmonic analysis and random vibration analysis (MILS-STD-810F example is included).
Must have attended the basic SolidWorks Simulation class, or must have an experience with working basic knowledge of finite elements and of basic mechanical principles. The knowledge of basic principles in Vibrations is strongly recommended, but not required.
Designed or users who would like to become productive fast, the advanced course offers hands-on experience on the use of SolidWorks Simulation Dynamics modules. The one-day course provides an overview on a wide range of dynamic analysis topics.
